BluePrint Programs (Copier Rental & PaperCut) Overview

The YPPS BluePrint Programs service the Yale community by procuring equipment and providing services that meet departments’ print, copy, fax and imaging requirements. Through two main programs, the Copier Rental Program and the PaperCut Program, we customize our services based on your specific needs.

YPPS does all the following for both programs:

  • Consults and assists the Yale customer to determine the appropriate print, copy, fax and scanning equipment and accessories to meet their needs
  • Offers both black and white and color digital multi-functional devices ranging from small table-top to large console models
  • Processes equipment orders and pays the University consolidated lease & maintenance invoices
  • Sets up training for end users and interfaces with the local DSP and vendor to ensure user satisfaction
  • Provides service within 4 hours of calls and manages on-site service technicians

Copier Rental Program – Basic Service Option

YPPS:

  • Provides back up service support and interfaces with the on-site service technicians
  • Maintains a limited supply inventory to accommodate customer emergency supply needs
  • Maintains a web based billing database for customers to enter their monthly meter readings
  • Processes a monthly billing batch and distribute charges to individual department PTAEO’s
  • Provides detailed billing history upon request.
  • Maintains an MS Access & Web database on each customer, including the equipment models, accessories, serial and ID #’s, department name, contact, location, IP address, meter reading history and PTAEO charging

PaperCut Program – Full Service Option

Includes all the above Basic Service Options plus:

YPPS:

  • Provides distributed charging to a variety of department PTAEO’s, full color printing is billed at $ 0.25
  • Provides detailed usage reports broken down by PTAEO, user or device
  • Processes and pays for on-line paper orders to Office Max
  • Provides first tier service support and interfaces with the on-site technicians
  • Maintains web interface for departments to create or edit  PTAEO activity for users
  • Processes a monthly billing batch of PTAEO charges through Oracle
