Yale Printing and Publishing Services is teaming up with the Association of College and University Printers (ACUP+) to host the ACUP+ 2019 Conference here in New Haven, CT. The event takes place over four days from April 7 – 11 at the Omni Hotel. Any K-12, college or university employee responsible for or associated with copying, printing, mailing services, copier management, copyright management or graphic design is welcome to attend.
This is ACUP+’s 54th annual conference; each year it is held at a different location. During the four-day event, attendees meet colleagues and industry experts from around the world and share best practices. In addition, they can learn more about the latest in technology, equipment and software from ACUP+’s industry partners. The conference is being held at the Omni Hotels & Resorts, Yale, 155 Temple Street, New Haven. On average, over 110 institutions and 50 vendors attend this event each year.
Started in 1964, the ACUP+’s mission has been to strengthen educational in-plant and mail operations by promoting and supporting learning opportunities, shared knowledge, and collaboration. In 2010 it acquired a non-profit organization status to continue to offer members these same benefits and more.
John Heine, YPPS Digital Production Manager worked diligently to bring the ACUP+ Conference to New Haven. He is currently working with them to coordinate the event which will feature a visit to the YPPS office and production area. For his efforts, he was honored by the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTCSB) for his work in helping to bring an event to Connecticut that has a profound impact on the state’s economy. The last time ACUP+ held their conference at Yale was in 1977, 42 years ago.
