Yale Printing & Publishing Services is part of the larger printing community at Yale University. In New Haven and the university, print culture is vibrant and thriving. YPPS would like to spotlight the Adrian Van Sinderen Prize. In order to encourage undergraduates to collect books, build their own libraries, and read for pleasure and education, Adrian Van Sinderen, Class of 1910, established in 1957 two prizes, one for seniors and one for sophomores. The competition is now open and applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on January 24, 2014.The Office of the University Printer selected the winner of the poster competition for the publicity of the prize. Please find the winning design below. Congratulations to Edward Wang TC ’16 for designing the winning publicity poster. An honorable mention was awarded to Ava Tomasula y Garcia CC ’17.

YPPS is now an FSC certified vendor. The Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC) is an international not for-profit, multi-stakeholder organization established in 1993 to promote responsible management of the world’s forests. One of its main tools for achieving this is independent certification and labeling of forest products, which offers customers the ability to choose products from socially and environmentally responsible forestry.
