YPPS Wins Two Gold and One Silver Award at the IPMA Annual In-Print Competition

“IPMA 2012” is an annual educational conference and vendor fair hosted by the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association. In addition to program sessions on a wide range of industry topics and trends, the conference features a competition of top-quality print projects. This year over 450 entries were received from 74 organizations. YPPS received a gold award for a booklet created for Yale Pediatric Surgery, another gold for an East Asian scroll project, and a silver award for a poster created for the Yale Law School. The East Asian scroll was also nominated for the best in show award. IMPA’s Chris Anderson, who has served as a judge for the past five years, was particularly impressed by this year’s entries. “Every year the competition gets tighter especially in the digital category. So many of the entries were certainly deserving of recognition and could all have been award winners.”  Jeff Gworek, director of Yale Printing & Publishing Services, was thrilled with Yale’s showing at the conference. “Producing award winning products requires a full team effort.  Kudos to our designers for their creative work on theses entries as well as having a keen eye for selecting the very best pieces to enter and to the production floor for producing flawless finished pieces and everyone else who supported them.” 2012 was the first year that YPPS has sent in entries for the IPMA conference - but it will certainly not be the last.About IPMAIn-Plant Printing and Mailing Association is the only professional association dedicated exclusively to the needs of in-house corporate publishing, printing, and distribution professionals.
