Congratulations to John Heine who was recently honored by the Connecticut Convention & Sports Bureau (CTCSB) for his work in helping to bring an event to Connecticut that has a profound impact on the state’s economy. John was honored at the CTCSB Hospitality Industry Night and Bring It Home Awards sponsored by Eversource held in late October.
John has been part of the YPPS family for over 35 years and is currently a Digital Production Manager. He worked diligently to bring the Association of College & University Printers’ (ACUP) Annual Conference to the Omni New Haven Hotel in New Haven this coming April 2019. A resident of Northford, John received his award alongside other dynamic Connecticut residents who have stepped up to help showcase our state, bringing visitors here and growing the economy– from job creation to local, regional and state revenue.
Way to go John!
Working in partnership with the state’s businesses, institutions, nonprofit organizations, and their surrounding communities, CTCSB markets all of the state as a premier destination for international, national, regional and statewide conferences, conventions and major sports events. Events booked through the CTCSB in the last fiscal year alone are projected to result in: $54,181,589 in spending by convention, meeting and sports events attendees. In addition, more than 17,246 CT jobs in the hospitality industry will be supported by these events as a result of these bookings.
