YPPS is now an FSC certified vendor. The Forest Stewardship Council™ (FSC) is an international not for-profit, multi-stakeholder organization established in 1993 to promote responsible management of the world’s forests. One of its main tools for achieving this is independent certification and labeling of forest products, which offers customers the ability to choose products from socially and environmentally responsible forestry.
YPPS is dedicated to supporting the University’s evolving media needs both educational and administrative with excellent customer support, resourceful solutions and indispensable services.Yale Printing & Publishing Services (YPPS) attended the annual Association of College & University Printers or ACUP Conference this past weekend where educational in-plant printers and mail operators gather to consult, learn and interact with each other. This event is exciting to attend, as we always learn much from our peers, as well as share our knowledge and experience with them. This year YPPS also competed in both the ACUP Production and Impression contests. Impression awards are based on a team’s initiative taken and the specific results gained.
Our efforts were doubly rewarded! YPPS took 1st place in the Impression field for our dedication and achievements in the area of sustainability. In addition, we placed 2nd in the Production field in the categories of Offset Multiple Pieces, Wide Format, and Digital Multiple Page. Previously we had won 1st place in both Black/White production and Collaborative Services in 2013. YPPS competed against about 100 other educational peers this year.
