The Connecticut Open, formerly known as the New Haven Open, begins this Friday, August 15th!Starting with two days of qualifying matches, the tournament will last until the finals on Sunday, August 23rd. Expected on the court is two time and current Wimbledon champ Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic. Kvitova, currently ranked 4th by WTA ratings, last won the CT Open in 2012. She will join Simona Halep (currently ranked 2nd), Genie Bouchard (8th), and Caroline Wozniacki (13th) in this year’s tournament. Click here for more information.
