How to Configure the PaperCut BluePrint Queues on Windows

There is one BluePrint queue for black and white print jobs and one BluePrint queue for color print jobs. Follow the instructions below to load both print queues. 

To install the black and white BluePrint queue: 

  1. Click on the Windows button and in the search field type \\paperc-prd-ps3\BluePrint_BW and hit enter
  2. When prompted to login, use “Yale\NetID” as your user name (replace NetID with your NetID). Use your NetID password as the password. Make sure to select to save your credentials.
  3. Wait for the print queue to finish loading and installing the print drivers. (You need admin rights on your machine to install the print driver)

 To install the color BluePrint queue: 

  1. Click on the Windows button and in the search field type \\paperc-prd-ps3\BluePrint_Color and hit enter.
  2. When prompted to login, use “Yale\NetID” as your user name (replace NetID with your NetID). Use your NetID password as the password. Make sure to select to save your credentials.
  3. Wait for the print queue to finish loading and installing the print drivers.  (You need admin rights on your machine to install the print driver)

**If you have a non-domain laptop that is having a problem connecting to the queues with the above instructions, an alternative methodology is the following**

Store a trusted credential in Credential Manager. To do this, follow these steps: 

  1. In Control Panel, open Credential Manager.
  2. Click Add a Windows credential.
  3. In the dialog box, enter an appropriate print server name. For students use ‘paperc-prd-ps3’.
  4. Enter your Yale netid as “Yale\Netid” and your password. 
  5. Click OK.

Click on ‘Devices and Printers’

  1. Click on the ‘Add a Printer’ tab
  2. Select ‘Add a Network, Wireless or Bluetooth printer’
  3. Select ‘The printer that I want isn’t listed’
  4. Type ‘\\paperc-prd-ps3\Blueprint_BW’ or \\paperc-prd-ps3\Blueprint_Color
  5. Click Next
  6. Click Finish

Your printer should now be listed
