How to Configure the PaperCut BluePrint Print Queue on a Mac

There are two steps to using BluePrint queues on a Mac:

  1. Setup the BluePrint_BW queue
  2. Setup the BluePrint_Color queue

(Note: if you using OS X 10.6 or below, please contact student.technology@yale.edu for assistance in setting up BluePrint.)

Step 1 - Setup the black and white BluePrint queue:

  1. Go to the Apple symbol and select “System Preferences”. Then select “Printers and Scanners”.
  2. Click the + to add a new printer.
  3. Choose “Advanced” from the menu.
If you do not see the Advanced option on the menu bar:
       - Right-click on the menu bar and choose “Customize toolbar”
       - Drag the Advanced icon to the toolbar
  4. Enter the following settings:
       - Type: ‘Windows printer via spoolss’
       - Device: ‘Another Device”
       - URL: smb://paperc-prd-ps3.yu.yale.edu/BluePrint_BW
